Students will continue to have access to study sessions and subject specific interventions to help with revision. All students have access to revision materials. Please encourage your child to attend these sessions and to speak to us if they need help, we are here to support them.
We are encouraging students to:
- Create a realistic revision timetable that they can stick to
- Focus on key topics identified by their subject teachers
- Practise past exam questions and mark them using mark schemes
- Revise actively (flashcards, quizzes, mind maps)
- Take regular breaks and maintain a healthy balance
- Good sleep, limited phone use during revision time, and a calm routine at home can make a significant difference.
For these mock examinations please note the following:
Students need to ensure that that they are punctual for each of their mock examinations, with the correct equipment and with enough time to check the seating plan etc. Phone calls home will be made in the event of a student being missing at the start of an examination.
Students will follow their normal school timetable unless they have a mock examination or are involved in additional study and subject sessions.
Students must be in full school uniform during this period - the school standards regarding uniform and appearance remain unchanged.
We are incredibly proud of the maturity and effort Year 11 have shown so far, with continued support from both home and school. We are confident they will approach this mock period positively and give their very best.
Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Whelan
Head of Year 11
