How can you help as a friend of Bishop Challoner

The current financial and political climate presents all schools across the country with great pressures. Due to austerity measures, all school are facing great financial challenges and their response, by and large, will be to cut the enrichment opportunities available, and to concentrate on core activities. This goes against the principles and the motivating factors that underpin the driving forces within our school. We will not have a narrowing of perspective; instead Bishop Challoner will continue to be an outward looking school with a transformational agenda. This will however require funding, and to raise this, we have set up School Fund. We are requesting families contribute £20, twice a year, to school fund.

Easy Fundraising for Your School

No cost, no catch – raise free donations every time you shop online.

We’ve teamed up with easyfundraising, so our school can avail of an unlimited source of free funding: raise funds simply by shopping online.

Easyfundraising is the UK’s biggest retail fundraising platform connecting over 1 million supporters with 100,000 good causes, including over 14,000 sports causes who have raised over £2.4m between them.

A donation is collected every time people connected with the school shop online, for everything from fashion and groceries to hotels and insurance.

This is a completely free and highly effective way for a school to raise money which they can invest in extra curricular and enrichment programmes in school.

Matched Funding - Double the Difference You Make!

Dear Parents/Carers and Supporters,

Did you know that many companies offer Matched Funding Schemes for employees who raise money for schools? These schemes allow your employer to match the amount you raise, helping to double the funds brought in to support our school and students.

Whether you are helping at our Christmas Fayre, running a stall at an event, or involved in any school fundraising activity a few hours of your time could be worth twice as much with the support of your employer.

How Does It Work?

Matched Funding is when an employer agrees to match funds raised by their employee for a good cause.
Some companies will match the total amount raised at an event, while others may match just the amount raised at a specific stall or activity.
Your employer may simply ask for a letter from us confirming the event and the funds raised.

Who Offers Match Funding?

High street banks, supermarkets, building societies, and large corporations often provide this, but many independent and smaller companies support charitable giving too.

If you or someone you know works for any of the companies listed on the next page (or a similar organisation), your involvement could significantly boost our fundraising efforts.
