Birmingham Council and its partners is looking to create Family Hubs in communities across the City.  Family Hubs will work with families – parents, grandparents, babies, children, and young people across all ages up to 19 years old and will also support families who have children with special education needs and disabilities.

The Family Hub will either be in a physical centre like a Children’s Centre or could be accessed through a digital offer or online network that will provide advice on services that wrap support around the needs of families, children and young people.   Some examples of these services are health visiting, money advice, housing advice etc.

Children’s Centre bases may become ‘Family Hubs’ and will connect with local community and services to build a comprehensive offer of help and support you and your family

As part of the Family Hub planning, the commissioning team is very keen to ensure the family voice is heard as part of the planning stage.
