Dear Student and Parent/Carer

Year 13 January Mock Examinations

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year. We hope, despite finding ourselves in these very challenging circumstances, families were able to find some time over the Christmas break to rest and spend time together.

Further to communication before Christmas, which can be accessed here, Year 13 Mock Examinations will go ahead as planned between Monday 10th January and Friday 21st January 2022. Insofar as possible, mock exams will be administered directly in line with public examinations.

As stated in our previous communication

  • It is imperative that students complete their mock examinations under the same condition as their peers, so that students have an authentic experience of the examination process and so that we have robust data should the use of Teacher Assessed Grades (TAG) be required in the summer.
  • Students need to ensure that that they are punctual for each of their mock examinations, with the correct equipment and with enough time to check the seating plan etc.
  • Please be reminded that we require a parent/carer to report absences daily.

We recognise the ongoing impact of Covid and we will continue to put the best interests of the students at the centre of all of our decisions.

Once again, we acknowledge the resilience and fortitude that students are showing and would like to assure you that they have the full support of the entire school community in these most trying of times.

As always, please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any concerns or queries.

Best wishes,

Mrs Healy

Head of Year 13
