Dear Parents and Carers,
Re: School Closure on Wednesday 2nd February
This afternoon we discovered a gas pipe leak on the main site. This is something that needs to be repaired as soon as possible and we have contractors on site who will complete these repairs. To facilitate this the gas supply to the school will be shut off from later this afternoon to allow the leak to be located and for repairs to begin.
As a result of these repairs there will be no hot water in school tomorrow, no heating and no canteen facilities available either.
As a result of this we regret that we have no option but to close the school to all students tomorrow, Wednesday 2nd February.
We will update you throughout the day tomorrow and we very much hope that the school will be open as normal from Thursday 3rd February.
All students in Years 7 to 13 will receive remote learning tomorrow, most likely via Class Charts.
