Netbook Device Handout/Donation Scheme
Dear Parent/Carer,
We are looking forward to welcoming your child to Bishop Challoner Catholic College on Wednesday 6th September. We wanted to take this moment remind you about the Netbook Device Programme Handout and the Donation Scheme that supports it.
The Device Handout will take place on Friday 8th September.
Devices for which a donation plan has been setup, can be collected on Friday 8th September from 2:30pm through to 4:00pm from our sports hall. Please report to the main reception of the school. In order for the device to leave site, an adult (parent or carer) must be present. For safeguarding, devices will not be sent home with a child only.
Please be aware that a device can only be collected if a donation plan has been setup for that student.
The Netbook Device is an integral part of our vision at Bishop Challoner; a vision that ensures every student has access to a personal digital device that follows them through key stage 3 and beyond. Underlying all of this is ‘equality at its core’, a motto that has served the programme since its inception, 15 years ago.

The programme is only possible through the support of our community, through the donations pledged by parents and carers to ensure that the programme can run. A huge thanks to those who have already supported the programme through the donation scheme. ‘Equality at its core’ is fundamental to the donation programme as well. Should the recommended donation amounts be a concern, please contact me so that we can discuss it further.
