KS3 FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT TOUR IN MAY 2022 - RESPONSE REQUIRED
Dear Parent/Carer,
Many thanks for your reply/replies to the correspondence sent out on Monday 7th February 2022.
Due to Spain's entry requirements and the feedback received from parents/carers, we have been in touch with our tour provider and have been exploring alternative countries to travel to. Our intention here is to ensure that all students are able to travel abroad, regardless of their vaccination status.
Because of Portugal's less stringent travel restrictions, we are looking into the possibility of returning to Porto FC (Portugal) as an alternative to Valencia CF (Spain). From experience, the tour to Porto is excellent and is the reason as to why we as a school have visited on many occasions. The students will no doubt love the coaching, facilities and weather that Porto/Portugal has to offer!
‘What do we do next' – We need to hear from you as parents/carers. Please could you provide feedback via SchoolComms (Gateway) and confirm if you would/would not be happy for me/the school to pursue the possibility of returning to Porto FC (Portugal) as an alternative to Valencia CF (Spain). Again, our intentions here are to ensure that all students are able to travel aboard, regardless of their vaccination status and that all students are still able to take part in this fantastic opportunity.
On Schoolcomms please consent if you are happy for the transfer to Porto FC (Portugal) to take place. If you do not want to transfer the trip please leave a comment in the box provided. Please acknowledge your preference before Friday 11th February. 2022.
I would appreciate your feedback as a matter of urgency. Once I receive feedback from all parents/carers re. this matter, I will send out further correspondence that detail the next steps.
