Epiphany
The Epiphany is the Feast of the Three Kings. The word 'epiphany' comes from the Greek language meaning 'to reveal' as this was when Jesus was revealed to the world. The three wise men brought gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh each symbolising something.
Gold - To show that he is King
Frankincense - to show His divinity
Myrrh - to show His humanity
We take time to pause for prayer and reflection on the epiphany.
His Grace, Archbishop Bernard, is celebrating Mass at St. Chad’s on Wednesday for the Solemnity of the Epiphany at 9:30 which will be live-streamed. Here is the link to the live stream https://www.stchadscathedral.org.uk/
This page contains a short epiphany PowerPoint with scripture and prayers to focus your time with God. We also have prayerful activities on the sway page for epiphany and gospel reflections from Sunday's readings.
